Air tool oiler

Hey all,
Sorry if this in the wrong section but it seemed the most logical.
I just purchased a Project Air air compressor to run a rattle gun and spray gun mainly. My issue is with the rattle gun as it comes with an inline oiler and i am concerned that oil may pass back into the hose. This will become a problem when im spray painting as i dont want oil to contaminate the finish.
Can anyone who has been in my situation give me an idea on what they are doing.

Leave the oiler out, and just put a drop of oil in your air tools each time you use them.

Yea thats what i was thinking but was not sure whether to add a drop or two into the air inlet or in the oil hole. The rattle gun i have has a oil hole in the side that has a grub screw that u can pull out.
What u think...

Yes leave the oiler out, i had them in my tools for a couple of years and the oil level was always the same. Better to put drop of oil in yourself.

woldn't an oiler go just after the compessor?
Anyway, I've always been told a drop of oil in the air inlet you probably won't need oil for the spray gun ever, simply keep it clean and don't allow the paint to dry or clog up while inside the spray gun and it'll stay good.

The hole in the side is for grease. Put it into the inlet of the air tool and you will be sweet mate

Thanks guys ill give the few drops in the inlet a go.
Chunks my rattle gun says oil on the side not grease so your comment surprises me.

Well just going off past experience as i work with air tools everyday. My Wurth rattle gun has a grease hole on the side which you use a little grease gun to fill it.

Buy a separate hose for spraypainting (about $25) with fittings.
You dont want any oil contamination anywhere in or on the hose for painting.

Thanks for the input guys. Ill forget the oiler and see how i go.
Im so keen to get it going so i can spray my chopper push bike.
