Just thinking about going bigger on my hj60 & was wondering what to expect if i go from 31's to 33's ? Also can you fit 33x12.5x15 tyres to 15x7 sunnies,( trying to save money) Cheers

I have gone from 31's to 35's on a hj60. It's a little slow on the hills but awsome in the bush. LOVE IT!!

33" with 4.11 (R&P) Best combo IMOP .. and if you use 33X12.5 in a 7" wheel, just keep it under 28" psi .. in order to wer it uniform .. and not only in the middle.

I have done this on my 60 and love the 33s, it revs lower on the highway and is still great to drive around town. Fuel consumption is slightly more but its not enough to bother me.

Hey There
i went from 31's to 33's a little while back, best thing ive done.
my speedo is now just about spot on, i dont drag the diffs and U-bolts any where near as much, fuel consumption went up from 12L/100k to around 13L/100k but i drive it pretty hard. My 33's are on 10" Rims and it handles as good as a 60 will. All in all 33's feel more suited to the car.
12.5's on 7" rims, a few tyre places wont fit them on the vehicle, i tried to get 32x11.5's on my 7" factory sahara chromies but some places wouldnt fit them. they said rims were below the mimimum width requirement for the tyre. I wouldnt like to have 12.5's on 7's, it just wouldnt feel right imho.

yeah same same - running 33" JT2's and you notice the gutlessness on hills a bit more and fuel consumption has gone up a little but when you hit the mud/bush it really helps to clear the giant front diff under the 60's .
i used to bottom out on it regularly - now lookin at possibly 35"s - but to fit them you'll need a 2" body lift
