ok so i know this has been covered a few times (has learnt how to search) so please dont post "uuuh use the search function"

i have unbolted all 10 mounts on my gq, removed the lower rad cowling, unbolted the clutch cable in the 2 spots and loosened the steering shaft. The problem im having is finding spots to jack from, i tried the front rad support but once i got it high enough, the frame work half way along the engine bay started to buckle, so i guess what im really after is information on where to jack from. And yes i have also read the guide thats linked in the bible

When I did the mav i undid all the bolts on the drivers side and left the passengers one in loose with the nuts on them incase it all turned to poo.
Then cut a 4x2 bit of pine ect to length and i looked under the right hand side for a strong piece of floor in between the front and rear door and jacked slowly off that while watching for any bending ect.
I found i could jack it high enough that way to get all the side blocks in plus front and rear.
When that was done and all the bolts were slipped thru I put the nuts on loose and undid the passengers side and did the same thing.
All worked for me.
Hope that helps.
Matt

all depends on what you have at your disposal, i undid all my bolts and used hoist to lift the whole body at once  Made life very easy :D bout an hour , hour half job

from what ive heard , you do it one side at a time if you dont hve a hoist...
its a lot easier to lift it from let to right or vice versa rather than front to back or back to front

Yeah mate, if youve only got one jack, just do a corner at the time, slip the blockls in and move along to the front or rear depending where your starting from. I had to jack mine heaps before it came apart, quite scary, as the frame kept coming up with the body while i was jacking. (heh that sounds suss).

Go realy, realy slowly mate, its not a race! better to go slow than to bend/snap/crack something...

good luck wiyth it. :P

Did my 2 " body lift yesterday I unbolted everything and simply used two bottle jacks and did one side at a time. I put one jack on the back tyre with wood on top and jacked the wheel arch and placed the other jack on top of the front coil mount and jacked the front wheel arch. This was an easy way to lift the cab if you have spring lift and big tyres. That was the way I went about it all smooth sailing.
