holden v6 pinout

prob been done but need to know what wire on vp v6 ecu is tacho wire. trying to fit aftermarket tacho and cant find pinout in any of my wiring diagrams
any help would be great.

BTW, on the V6, the tacho signal comes from the DFI module, on the V8, it comes from the ignition module...

on the v6 loom, its the brown wire that is taped up in the engine bay near the firewall on the lhs. the loom comes through the firewall and into the bay, look for a brown wire that is folded back into the loom and taped up, just untape it and join, doesn't matter if the donor car had a tacho or not, for some reason holden put a spare wire in

tried the brown wire and there is a signal there but veeeeerrrry weak wont drive tacho? any suggestions.

been there found that.
its not that its weak its that its 5 volts square half wave. i also fould it wouldnt run the aftermarket tacho that i tried. never actually got round to a solution but i did look into it a bit. emailed jaycar about there digital tacho and they replied saying 5 volt square half wave would be enough to trigger it. also found a mob in adelaide by the name of 'pulse automotive' that would make any tacho work with any motor, wasnt too bad priced compared to big after market tacho's iirc
