Outer Limits 4x4 Board

My mate was following me the other day and said my zook was crabbing down the road a little bit but not much just enough to tell!

He never noticed it before i put the 31's on!

It's got a 2" spring lift(sagged a little) 2" extended shackles(so 1" lift) and just the tyres difference!

The front spring has had a bend in it for a while but that shouldn't push it out? Hopefully get new springs soon!

Is this normal or is something bent? Still drives fine no shacks or anything! Is there a thing i have missed buying when getting the stuff to make the 31's work?

Mate if your front spring is bent that will certainly make it crab , even just 1/2 inch this will move the diff back as the axle is crooked in the car , line your front wheels up straight and measure between the wheels , if it is out it will crab , also if your wheel alignment is out and you have to hold the steering wheel to one side this is also an indication you are crabbing , Cheers Paul.

Bent spring would be a problem. I need to know a bit about wheel alighnments myself...

In a sort of related topic (sorry semi-hijack); my Sierra doesn't self centre the steering perfectly. It always goes slightly to the right (inside of road, even on a road cambered outwards). My car doesn't crab like Suzuki boy is experiencing, it just thinks turning very slightly to the right is centre (its visible with steering wheel position).

I'd like to know how to fix it, I am of the opinion that the adjuster on the tie rod just effects tow-in, is that right? That leaves nothing I can see to adjust (unless I adjust something with a grinder and welder ). Maybe steering wheel position on the spline (but its not that far out, and will only fix wheel position, not actual steering). Also could anyone think what could cause this; could it be the excessive sag of my drivers side suspension? In which case I'll probably have to live with it untill I too can buy some new suspension. Also, I have no abnormal wheel wear, slightly heavier on the front, but not side biased.

On suzuki's (sierra's) the only real adjustment is toe. That is adjusted by the tie-rod. You can adjust or correct camber changes by using wedges, but this isnt a factory thing. Get a wheel alignment done, as this will let you know what is out, and if it is an adjustable thing, or something is bent (diff tube etc).
