HiLux/Vigo ARB Lockers/Gears

Post by Tapage »

Does anyone know which lockers are the right ones for this vehicle .. ?

I saw in the ARB book for RD23 for rear and in the front have 2 options acording to gear ratio .. 3.91 and up and 3.73 and down ..

So just wondering the locker model and better if have the gear ratio for those new Vigo ( 2006 and on .. )

thanks in advance ..

Yeah solid axle fronts are the same as rear. Ifs fronts are different (think same as prado front's). Also the rd23 has now been redesinged and new part number is RD132 and getting the line from bulkhead to seal housing(inside diff) is a fair bit more interesting as it is now on the other side of diff so you have to cross over the crownwheel inside the diff housing if not done right it'll eat it. Fitted 2 and would rather fit the old RD23

The rear locker isn't an issue .. the front locker it's actually the big deal !

We have 2 options ..

RD111 and RD121 the only diference between both it's ( like some Dana axles ) the ring thick .. acording to 3.91 and up you must use the RD121 and down gearing the other one ..

Here my issue ..

anyone with ideas .. ? or maybe another place to start serching coz in internet I found nothing about it.

Those Hi Lux aren't in US market yet .. I try searching for info in Argentina ( where are assembled ) but with out luck !

Or at least not yet .. I not a believer about the wheel count .. but gonna check the plate in the engine room.
