Outer Limits 4x4 Board

G'day all, My sierra's gearbox is playing up, It clunks into first second and third and if I stop in neutral it's almost impossible to get back into first. The clutch seems fine doesnt stall or lag so is this a sign that the gearbox is dying or that the clutch is dying?

Sounds more like a clutch problem that g/box.
Could be the input shaft spigot bearing seized or a problem in the cluth plate or pressure plate. Sounds like something isn't allowing it to release properly.
Not a big job, i'd whip the box out and have a ghanda at the clutch, i'm sure it'll be obvious once it's out.

Hey Buddy, long time no hear. I'd say it's probably the driver If you wait until mid September when I'm back I can give you a hand to whip that box out and we can re-live the experience of working on that 4 Runner at FAR!

IMOP start with most simple ..

Check your clutch/slave fork movement .. it's right ?

Then start thinking if your bearing or PPlate are bad ..
