Has anyone fitted a fuel tank to the cargo area of their 4by?
I am looking to do a similar job to the one that Kevin Tapp did to his rangie.
Where have people had this done and were there any major problems or considerations the needed addressing with the mod?

Any info would be appreciated.

Yeah i would have thought that if it were legal to have jerry in the back of you truck then it should be legal to have a professionally made custom fuel tank.
Does anyone have any constructive information about this modification?

Thanks

i have two, i have made them so depending where im going depends on what tank i use. i have a gu diesel wagon and have one that fits in the back behind the rear seats and fills the cargo area and about 100mm high. this is plumbed to the pipe work at the right hand side through the little pocket at the back with quick connect air fittings and drains to sub tank. the other is a plastic boat tank that lays on the the floor behind the drivers seat from door to door and is about 1200x400x300. this holds about 140lts and is transferred to the main tank using an electric pump from repco. the pump makes a real racket when tank is empty so i know when to turn it off.
mates a copper and said no real black and white about carrying diesel inside car.
