Just some questions AGAIN!

Just last week i said it was finished!
With tax comin in i'm going to get some 32" mongrels!
Has any one got them on there zook? How do they perform?
I'm gettin a new iron man lift(can get it cheap!) 2" the old one had sagged a bit!
Has any one got that kit in there rig?
The 31's just hit the fire wall with the new springs might just touch on the 32's! What do people do to stop this? Just a few taps with a hammer?
THANKS GUYS AND HOPEFULLY THIS IS THE LAST STEP!

Two words.
First one: SEARCH
Second one: NOOB
You can do a gazzillion things.
Rears up front, bash firewall with big hammer, lift it some more, bumpstop extensions, move your cab back on the chassis, re drill your spring perches.

I've had the 32" mongrels for a while, they worked really well, nice n grippy and bagged pretty well considering they are a full remould. Mine are almost worn down now (so i've upgraded to 32x11.5 BFG's

) and at the moment the mongrels measure just over 30" tall, so brand new i reckon you'd be lucky for em to be any more than 31". However they measure 11" wide so make sure your rims have a big offset.
With the mongrels i just flattened all the seams in the wheelwell and bashed the rear of the guard back a bit and also bashed the front of the guard (headlight bucket) in a tad. This worked fine but they rubbed on the springs on full lock so i'd suggest extending your steering stop. This worked and had basically no rubbing anywhere.
When i put the 32" BFG's on however, big difference. they actually measure 32" so i had to move the axle forward 20mm by re-drilling the spring perch. I added 1" bumpstop spacers and bashed the sh*t out of the headlight buckets as this was the only placed they still rubbed. Now if i[put the mongrels back on with the moved axle and longer bumpstops they dont come close to rubbing anywhere.
I had an ironman kit on my old zook a few years back and it was like driving in a paintshaker. I removed a few leaves and it was bearable but it had huge bore shocks in it which is why i think it was so rough. So the ironman springs a probably fine but dont get the shocks, get some softer ones like out of a commodore. These are the ones i've got and they are very good, really soft...

I ran mongrels for awhile and Im pretty sure when new they where pretty close to 32" and on my lwb (so a little heavier than a swb) they barely bagged at 10psi. On dirt if you let them spin they dig DOWN real quick.
That was my experience anyway never tried them on mud and sand but they were ok on road, a bit noisey but held on ok.

from all the people ive spoken to and the ones ive seen with the mongrels they have all said they dont bag out under a light vehicle.
A better option are the simex or even better are the silverstone MT117 series as they are softer in the sidewall aparently.
Ill be getting some MT117sports as soon as i can afford them and at 190 each is a good price.

I run some MT117's and usually have them sitting at about 6psi, no beadlocks and haven't lost a bead in a couple of years. My stauns got adjusted and I went down to 3 and 4 psi last sunday on all 4, still didn't drop a bead, but was mainly crawiling...
Having said that, I have a few mates successfully running 32" Mongrels under there zook, they will bag over rocks, just don't be afraid to let them down low. Its not your daily so you may aswell go aggressive, I only steered clear of Mongrels due to being warned about the weight of them.

Yep they are a heavy tyre and I could never get mine to bag under the zook but only ever took them to about 10. I had the 32's and from new measured a tiny bit over 31" like the website states. For what I drive (rocks and dirt) I hated them...just could never find traction. Ditched them for some Nankang muddies which gripped much better but had weak sidewalls. Then went to centipedes which were a good tyre..unstoppable in the bit of mud I tried but after I got defected these proved too big so went to 30" Goodyear MTR's and couldn't be happier...absolutely awesome tyre under the zook...work so well on everything.
So that's my tyre experience.
