Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hi Guys,
Just wondering where is going to be the best place to get a 2" body lift kit for the Triton. I am in Brissy. I just want to get it up abit so that I can put some 33's under it.

Redlands 4wd centre, 5 steel st Capalaba. Peter kitchin is very helpful guy, quite open minded when it comes to mods and really knows his stuff. Supply only of fit as well, he can arrange all if you are after a full kit.

Failing that, you can measure up the diameter of the contact washers for each body mount, go to Capral (aluminium centre) and get some machine rod cut to 50mm lengths that match the diameter of the body mounts. You will need longer bolts to suit of course. If you want to do everything right, you will need to apply to DOT for approval to fit a body lift first.

Thanks for the information. How do I go about getting approval from QT? I was under the impression that you were allowed 2" without any hassles. I appreciate the help.

I know it is asking a little too much but I was wondering if anyone would know if there is anything else that needs to be modified with the 2" lift. I know when i did it to my hilux's that I had to modify the bull bar and some other stuff.

Paul, each vehicle will have specific things that will need to be addressed with the lift, best thing is to get under the rig first and make a thorough list of anything that will need to be changed/altered. Things such as brake lines, gearsticks, fuel lines, wiring looms, bumpers, bullbars, fuel tanks and fillers, towbars, steering linkages, radiators and shrouds, rubber wheelwell skirts, sidesteps and sillbars, handbrake cables and linkages, speedo cables, breather lines, vibration isolators/body support rubbers (sometimes under cargo areas, but are not bolted to the cab, only to the chassis) and then some all need to be considered though, no matter the make or model.

Thanks for your patience with this guys, I will start looking at those sort of things and start making a list of things that I am going to have to do. Going by the list of stuff that you have put there it doesn't look like this is something that I am going to be able to get done until I get to Townsville as I only have a week or so left in Brissy.
