get the plugs that suit carby there .8 gap ( same as 186 holden) rather than 1.1 gap for injected the smaller gap for the gas unless your running a hight out put coil 40,000 volts or bigger then go to the 1.1 as reconmended for injected

I use NGK BP6ES as they are one heat range colder for LPG and non resistored which allows for greater spark energy. The stock plug is a BPR5ES. The "S" is optional, without means it is a "v" groove plug and I generally close the gap .2mm from non "S" plugs due to the "V". The best gap is the largest your ignition stsyem will support for a reasonable amount of plug life (20 000 klms) Usually between .8 and 1.2mm, less for high compression or turbo, more for low compression. Asses the plugs when you remove them for fouling, the ceramic should be white about 1/2 way down and there should be a ring of carbon (not thick) around the base of the thread where it screws into the combustion chamber.

jeol, next time i'm in mornington, your tuning my car I'll give you notice of course. but you allways have the right answers unlike the part fitters i keep coming across in brisbane. they wouldn't know one end of the car from the other.

Bosch make an equivalent as they have dropped their range of non-resistored plugs, dont quote me on the numer as I havent used Bosch in some time however W7DC rings a bell, Bosch has thier heat range numbering system the other way around to NGK and a standard plug is I think a WR9DC, they have also changed some of their numbering in the last few years, I'd look up the X-reference in a plug catalogue.

Glad to help.
