Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I have just done an auto to manual conversion on my GQ Mav. With the wiring I left the auto wiring in and disconnected the inhibiter plugs conected the speedo and transfer back up as well as the reverse wiring. I then bridged the inhibiter wiring at the plugs so it will start. The problem that I have is when i engage reverse the old auto shift light comes on , not the reverse lights. Has any one had this problem before or is there another way of doing the wiring. Advice would be appreciated.
