Removing 3rd member bolts from housing

How do you remove the round headed bolts in the axle housing... hammer ?? or grinder ??

Use a hammer and bang them into the housing

if they are push in studs then do as diuscokid says, if they screw in then lock 2 nuts together and screw out.
sounds like hilux 3rd'sgoing in ???????
if so, please post the process.

hilux 3rd is definately going in...Just waiting for Jac Mac to open to get axles.. and need to find someone to machine stubs
can't wait to get it on the road again.. the new ratios are also going to make a huge difference I reckon...
did not think about the 2 nut trick...
will keep posted on progress...

does jmac charge too much to machine thestubs and press a bronze bush in?

would not have a clue...have not spoken to them, as I only started on Friday and they are closed for the break.... a mate has a lathe so we will see how we go... but it might just be easier to send them the stubs

i think he charges $180 to machine out both stubs
the bronze bushes cost $30 each

Thanks...$180 sounds expensive ..It could not possibly take them say an hour @ $90(
) to take off 20 thou

no idea when they open.
those prices were quoted when i enquired about the whole toy 3rd. conversion front and rear.
you have bought stuff, it may bring the price down.
