could be from brakes as there is a junction for brake lines under the passengers feet on my cj anyway ;)

it is coming from the engine I got under it , looks like it may be near the oil filter not sure. 2001 grand cherokee It looks like engine oil its dripping from the middle front passangers side in the front of engine. if that makes any sence. any ideas would be a great help thanks guys.

Dont know what engine your car has, but my parents XJ (4.0 inline 6) had a very annoying oil leak near its oil filter (drivers side). Anyway it turned out to be the oil pressure sensor, had a small crack in it and was pumping engine oil out through it. Cost some exorbanant amount to replace as no-one had a generic alternate, so had to go genuine. BTW there was no noticable difference in oil pressure, as it was a hairline crack.

Sorry I havent got back sooner I have been in hospital just got the all clear from the doc for the cancer I had finally beat it .Anyway the engine is a 4.7ltr v8 auto it could be a sensor I remember the machanic said a while ago I had a sensor on the way out so it could be that.
If so not looking forward to that bill oh well. Hope this more info helps the mechanic cant get it in for another 4 weeks. The oil leak is only small and I have not noticed any change in oil pressure . thanks guys
