Pre-wiring for a stereo

Help me out, I am laying all the wires for a stereo so that I can add it later. I am thinking I need:

- accessories "signal" wire
- main power (always on)
- instrument lights signal (to dim display)
- four speakers, two wires each

Is there something I've forgotten that is probably going to appear on a new stereo? I haven't bought it yet but I am doing other wiring now with the dash out.

Power Antenna?
Amp / Aux Power?
RCA Leads to Amp?
Mute Line (kills noise for carphone / talkling gps thingy that wont shut up)?
iPod integration?
3.5mm phono for other mp3 integration?

Al above depend on unit / your choices, but worth considering.

Make the main power heavy & direct from battery, use the same wire to run your fridge.

Thanks Paul.

Auto antenna is definitely a good one... not sure I'll be bothering with an amp on this vehicle, just a four-speaker head unit I think.

Although... hrmm. I have eight speakers in the Mav, sounds farking good :)

Maybe I'll run the wires just in case.

and to state the obvious, make sure you put in a fuse close to the battery.

Also an antenna wire

Thanks!

I'm installing a complete new loom in this car, including a new fuse box, so there will be a dedicated fuse for it.

I forgot earth... sheesh.
