Ok I know how to change a clutch but any ideas on how to remove and replace a gearbox/transfer on the ground without busting your arse would be good. It will be on a concrete floor

although I have used both the transmission jack and engine crane through the floor methods, the trans jack is the winner if you're on your own. if you have help, you can use a trolley jack, just make sure you use a ratchet strap or similar around the box to the jack so it doesn't slip off. take the gearbox off the bellhousing then remove the bellhosing on its own to replace the clutch. use a clutch aligning tool and make 2 dowels to go into the bottom two gearbox mounting holes in the bellhousing, then lining it up to get it back in is dead easy.
