maxi drive locker on defender

has any one put a rear maxi drive locker on there defender.. how does it go and what was rough cost in total..

strong reliable and effective 1800 with axles ,flanges ,and fitting but that was from mal himself .might be a little more now but definitly worth it .ive had mine for 8 years and never had a problem

yeh some 1 else told me they were around the 1800 mark but i have been priced up 3700

ask for parts price and installed price at fred smith, toorak tractor, anthony johnson(british 4wd).

there is always arb, j-mac or possiblt pro locker with maxi axles.

I run Maxi axles with ARB locker...I only had it done this way cause it was convienant and cheaper for me..
If you want Maxi all round also try Mountain Top Experiance(the same mob that did the shuttle bus at the Ateco)
They have great workshop charges i believe to be about $30 an hour

yeh i check it out i have called and got my prices only of les richmond automotive thomastown.. they seem good down there just dont know about the prices..

Andrew must have been quoting front and rear.
There is no way that the going rate for rear maxi's installed is $3,700.

Why not? Cost me $4500 for JDM to do it years ago.
Another $3500 odd for the front.

It only cost me around $2000 installed on the RR close to 5 years ago. Can't see why the Defender would be any different.

Defenders are cheaper because they only modify the diff instead of providing a complete new one.

thats on the sals rear defender. not to sure that they don't do a whole new center for the p38 rear defenders(110-130)

yeh i got a pos new one its non salisbury diff and 3700 was price for rear locker few people have told me they only paid 1800 but i have got it done now so what do u do.

You use it
$1800 is supply only and you wont get it installed for much less then $1300

driven a few rig with lockers unfortunitly never mine however mine goes in next week
