Hi all im looking for a snokle to fit my p38 has anyone come across one ?
also has anyone made one for their rangie if you have can you place some pic for me to look at

Hi I have adapted a GU Nissan des, snorkle for mine, I think it looks ok.

Gu Patrol grafted to P38. Looks GR8. Some plumbing was required under guard!!!

now i must say that looks great well done maybe you should put a plumbing kit together and sell them on ebay I KNOW MANY PEOPLE are looking for them

dck.......... that is a really good job!

Why not giveaway a free P38a with every snorkel? Could be cost effective.















I shouldn't be so cynical...... friends own them and have been lucky, generally 300,000 k and maintenance costs manageable.

Firstly, Rangie96 owns this vehicle(he is online).
Unfortunately we overlooked the need to take photos during the install process. Alas job was pretty much easy.
This particular Safari snorkel has an offset to clear the very rounded top of a Gu patrol guard.
Original plumbing is thrown away. rear section of snorkel was patched up and new 2&1/2 inch flange(aluminium pipe) fitted to lowest possible position with rivets and lots of sika. fitted template to snorkel and remarked new penetration and mounting bolts, transfered to guard, Holes drilled.
We used silicone turbo hose elbows(two off). A straight peice of tube runs under the guard(above the plastic inner guard - which requires heat modifications) and into the airbox...
Snorkel is not solidly mounted to guard, instead we used rubber grommets in the holes with large washers behind. This allows a little more tip to clear the bonnet on opening(just closes the visible gap at top of bonnet when bonnet is down). And can be tighted or loosen to adjust.
