Strip off enough insulation from the 8g cable to fit accross all the terminals, using a big soldering iron (i used a 200watt, probably overall but you would be hardup using a little 35watter) to solder the cable to all the terminals and then insulate using some split conduit.... will take about 20 mins and 2 of your favourite beverages...!

just remember not to excede the max current draw of the 8g cable....

Hi rusty, if you already have the fuse box then dj’s suggestion is the best way to go.

We use to make up large numbers of fuse boards of varying sizes with a connection set up similar the fuse box you have but we had crimp terminals and just made them to what ever size we needed by add what ever number of terminals we needed but every so often orders would out strip supplies and we would just solder the cable across each terminal as dj described.

Never had a problem.

Now, if you haven’t bought the fuse box yet, you can but a one to 6 way or 8 way or 10 way fuse block that have just one positive input and a single output from each fuse.

Cheers.

Ive got thbe same fuse box, i just used a 60amp breaker that the 8 guage cable hooks up to, then made up very short smaller guage cables to patch to each terminal, you end up with a stack of ring terminals on the output side of the rbeaker, but works 100%, the voltage drop from the 8G cable to the input to the fuse is something like 0.1volts powering my 130watt spotlights, so it works very well.

Is it better to use fuses like ppl have suggested here, or use the circuit breakers (the auto resetting doohickies) all side by side with an aluminium strip supplying all one side?

I used 1 of those cheap fuse blocks and had 10mm2 (i think that was it). I had a sperky mate help me. But we just stripped back all the insulation and soldered it along all the terminals.
I also used a 30 or 40amp circuit breaker, which was mounted next to the aux batt. We covered it in silicon to prevent corrosion.

But on seeing that other style. I htink I would go for one of them. Just cos it looks neater.
