hi ive got a fzj75 1fz-fe and im pretty keen to swap in a 1hz. any help you guys could give would be great, the box is the h150f, what 1hz blocks fit this bellhousing? are the input shaft and ratios different? will the mounts need modifying? any other details? eg tricky wiring or fuel setups... ive been searching around and this doesnt seem to have been done much, not to a 75 anyway. trading cars isnt really an option, ive done too much to the girl and i want to keep the h150f box.
any help or advice would be awesome, cheers

why do you want to do the swap?
if it's for economy, a 1FZfe on gas will be cheaper for a long long time than doing the diesel swap.
power wise, its' a step backwards.
there is a bellhousing to use to bolt the h150f to the 1hz. other than that, have a donor vehicle there so you can see how it was done from factory,a nd so you don't have to chase up niggly little bits.
or i know you said swapping wasn't an option, but why not? it'd be easier to transfer the good stuff to another bus i recon.

nope economy is the last thing on my mind, and i love the power and am aware of the losses but its done 370,000ks (going strong still i might add) and im preparing for a new motor. instead of spending up on another fz id prefer the diesel mainly due to its reliability in water etc.. just trying to organise ahead thats all. will a hz bolt straight in?

I'm not sure how much splines you count in the 1FZ-FE Pressure plate .. but 1HZ it's 21 splines with 275mm disc.. and 1HD-T 14 .. with 300mm disc

1fz and 1hdt 1hdft use thesame clutch plate and spline...both these motors bolt in...i would suggest you buy a pickles hdj79, get the motor, wiring and stuff, sell the rest and you wont loose any power, but your fuel will last double....thats a hdfte
