thats right
I suppose this is aimed squarly at the X5 Cayenne Volvo class of driver... the only bonus to this story is that in about 10 years time there is going to be a lot of supercharged V8 jaguar motors that should fit our cars...provided they use the standard rover bolt pattern...
which I doubt because they definatly wont be using the ZF auto or the R380 5 speed manual...in a supercharged application.....
it looks like this is going to be the way land rover goes with all their cars in future... so if you can afford it, I would be buying one of the last defenders or discos before the series' change....
The end of the Land Rover solid axle is near idiots
Finished reading an article in a pom mag, (total off road) and there's a new freelander over there that's actually lowered the suspension and widened the frount body for a more "sporty" look and feel. Now I know the freelander is soft as but it's another sign of whats coming.
Yeah get a defender asap...2005 is when they release the new one...and all I can see from info from mags and other reports is all round independent suspension.
defender = dead
who wants a defender with IFS and IRS...I sure as hell don't !!!
