you know the ones, c shaped rings that fit into the grooves on the axle to stop it going into the diff to far....no one seems to stock em
also missing one of the steering stop bolts from the hub and also the spacer that goes between the F-W hub and the outer lock nut....
anyone know where to try? none at the wreckers down here or warwick or toowoomba

Snap rings are available from Nissan About $13 each there are six sizes from 1.1mm - 2.1 mm.
For manual hubs the idea is to have 0.0 - 0.2 mm Freeplay between snap ring and drive gear by measuring with feeler gauges between the snap ring and drive gear and selecting the right snap ring thickness to suit.

Sorry for the hijak. But do you really need to run these clips? Can the axle slip in much further as it would run out of spline?
I know guys who leave it out for floating axles. On GQ.

yeah well maybe...the reason I'm gettimg some is because they were missing when I replaced the hub seals, there was actualy a few things missing ( 1 steer stop bolt and a hub spacer and 2 snap rings that were in different spots anyway) so I'm assuming whoever worked on it last didn't know what they were really doing. The axle does go in about 5mm if I don't put the ring on and I can't see it doing much harm but I figure it's on there for a reason and there is special mention in the manual about replacing the originals anyway....but at 11 bux each and only available thru Nissan I can't see many people doing that!
