sloppy stick

i have a 96 gq big lift big hose power and today i nailed it racing a 79 series and crunched third after that the gear stick is realy sloppy in all gears any ideas
There is a bush that should be stuck on the bottom of the stick.
Yours is likely worn out and needs replacing.
