Not sure if the 1.3 will bolt straight on11_evl wrote:re jet the 1.3 one
But I dont think it should be hard to adapt! someone else might know a trick to it!
Ya wont need to rejet the 1.3 carbie, should be fine,
If ya really want you could get the 1.3 swift 1.41 secondry jet for it but not necessary unless extractors and high flow exhaust are already installed
I hate going to weddings because all the grandma's used to poke me in the ribs saying you're next, you're next. They've stopped doing it since I started doing it to them at funerals.
The 1300 manifold will bolt on but need slight grinding to fit around the fuel pump if you still use the stock one. I dont think you would need to re jet it as others on here are running that combo.
I couldnt get my vit carb running right so Im using a weber, for the price to set it up (maybe $200) you could buy a vit carb??
Or possibly a corolla carb?

It will be OK with a 1300 carb. Just be sensible with revs and it shouldn't lean out too bad.
Obviously, a 1.6 carb would be better, but at the end of the day they're all carbies and they will all have quirks, especially offroad. The higher air velocity through a 1.3 carb on a 1.6 might actually make it behave a bit better.
IMHO just don't spend too much money on trying to stuff around with carbies. Buy a shiny pink piggy bank and write EFI on the side and just keep popping your change in there.

Bolt the 1.3 intake onto the 1.6 head and use your 1.3 carb it will run just fine.
I had no issues with the 1.6 achivig its redline with my last little red wagon with this exact setup, it would easily cruise at 120Kph from melbourne to wanagaratta (240 kilometers) with a few hills that it would hold a steady 100 on in 5th gear .. this was turing 235's with stock gearing.
