Outer Limits 4x4 Board

hey guys I've got a 92 runner with a 3" body lift and I am looking at putting a suspension lift in it. I'm looking at using the BJ spacers, winding the torsion bars up and putting cruiser coils in the ass end. the question is, do I wind the torsion bars all the way up or do I leave a little free play, do I use front or rear cruiser coils and do I have to modify my trailing arms as well as my panhard rod. any help would be appreciated.

with bj spacers i found out the hard way you may break inneraxles.
i did 2 diff in one year taken the bj spaces out and have not done a diff yet

That's gonna be a lot of lift...

The more you wind up the front, the less down travel you will have, it's simply a trade off.

If you keep your 3" body lift and leave the suspension how it is, you will have the best balance of travel up/down.
If you need more lift, it is fine to wind up the bars, but leave enough freeplay to have some droop left (what there is on an IFS to start with anyway )

What do you need the lift for? Tyres, clearance, or looks?

As been said .. it's a trade off but sometimes dangeros trade coz if you haven't down travel if make a complete diferent rig to drive .. on and off road ..

Other think could be more complicated the alignment ..

i can already fit 35x12.5 under it without scrubbing but i want more belly clearance.

If you want more clearance underneath, fit your 35" or whatever tyres, moderately lift your suspension, and take some body lift out. You will be way too high.

I thought the 35" should get you off the deck enough

35's do get me off the deck enough but I am down sizing to 33's as the 35's throw my gearing out way to far when driving on the street and it is driven everyday.

going back to 33's should only be 1inch less at the bottom of the diff then. Will that really make all that much difference.

One inch probably won't make that much difference but it is still running standard height suspension and I thought a lift would be nice.
