Gday mate wicked 75...What sort of mods have you done to fit those 37's?
I see you have extended shackles so iam guessing 3" of sus lift and 2" body but just wondering if you had to cut the front guards. Also have you got wheel spacers or do your rims have a custom offset.
Have you moved your diff forward 1" or just left it alone and also have you changed your transfer or diff ratios?
Sorry for all the Q's mate but i have a 75 as well and just curious on what other people's mods and how it handles...
Cheers Azza

Already done 2 long ones with 35s. Its next on the list, some heat treated cvs. Then transfer gears b4 i think about doing any events. Still got plenty of spare cvs aqnd only takes us half hour to change one, including a few vbs.

Dude 27 spline chromo longfields will only cost you about $600 if you buy them direct off longs. Ring up with credit card and you'll have them on your door step within 7days.
Now what happened to your hilux?

my truck is under going some major works at the moment with coilovers v8 etc but it will be running the 55% reduction gears from marks 4wd, if i was you i would be running the crawler gears straight up due to you will not have crawl ratio you need and you will brake stuff at the drop of a hat, and with the cvs as guts said just grab at set of longfields
thanks rob

Agreed. My crawl ratio sucks and my claws are probably a bit smaller than your krawlers. I have to brake constantly down steep (and not so steep
) hills to stop it running away and it doesn't take much of a gradient/step to stall it on idle (which is still a fast crawl).
I will definitely be looking to fix my ratios when i have some spare $$'s to spend.

there's always a critic of every great work of art
Bullet already said he's working on getting crawler gears before he hits any competitions. Do you know the history of the vehicle or the driver before you make comment? Do you know the kind of driving he intends to do, or the kind of driver he is, of the other specifications of the vehicle? Do you know what if any other modifications have been made to the engine? what clutch it is running? how much turbo boost? the torque and power figures of the engine? a 75 series cab/chassis with shortened tray and chassis is much much lighter than your bloated 60 and 80, that 2H has torque to spare and can turn 37's in most terrain without complaint, sure he may bust the occasional birfield but half the fun of a drive with Denny is lightning trackside CV swaps. This is not moab, all the rock around here is sandstone, what isn't sandstone is sand or loam or mud, there is not often a need for very low gearing, a lot of the time, wheelspin, momentum (OTHERWISE KNOWN AS WUNUP!) and the winch are required to get up obstacles. Before you go and poo poo someone else's ride, ask yourself if you really know what you're talking about.

Take a rest ..
My comment are not in anyway a critic comment for nothing .. it is a public forum to share diferent point of view and ideas .. ?
If the owner of the rig feel my comment agressive, I'm proud to ask for a big apologizes .. and there are not ofend intention.
And again .. my comment start with I love ( that means my personal taste ) aren't a rule for anyone ..
Again .. I'm a simple Cruiserhead in other side of the wolrd that like off road learn and share knowledge
all in good as always ..

BOYS,BOYS, TAKE IT EASY..........
Firstly thanks Dumbdunce for sticking up for the new bullet, appreciate it. People this guy has put a lot of sweat and even blood into my vehicles, every mod he does is usually a nightmare to. Theres not one thing we havnt sorted, that we wanted to. This new truck owes him a thing or two already.
I havnt personally been offended by anyones comments.
GUTS.... Long time mate. Last thing i heard about you was you were going to sell your lux and build a buggy????
Mate sold the hilux after i hurt my back, temptation to keep 4bying while injured wasnt helping my recovery.
Funny thing is the guy who bought it killed it after a month so it is well dead.
Decided landcruiser once i was better and happy so far.
You coming up to the last nwoodpecker this year????
No more Dargle after this year..
Cheers Denny

Thanks mate ...
Note: I ran my 37" first with only 4.56 and I feeld I need a lots more reduction .. ( BF1A 1.968:1 ) then go to underdrive gearset by Marks and get enought reduction .. ( at least I thought more than I really need )
Now with turbo, other tale .. I'm still thinking run 39" ( aaa temtations .. temptations ! )
How muc boost are you running .. ?
I'm @ 14 PSI .. intercooled and believe 1 more fuel pump turbo available ..

I'd sell the hilux if somebody paid well for it but otherwise I'll hang on to it forever. I am building a buggy with Matt (spotter from TTC02) so that will do the hard fun stuff once its finished. Also got a front n rear locked 80 on 35's which goes out more often then the hilux these days.
Sad to here about the new/old bullett was always fun watching you drive hehe.
So whats the go with Woodpecker? Is it still going to be run but just not at dargle? I will not be there this year, have other plans.

Small world ay?
Chris did a few mods to the 75 since the purchase glad you like it. Shes a good old girl.
Yeah Cambo, good to hear those tyres are back on a hilux where they belong. Doin a run sat morn if you want to tag along, give us a text for the details, see what tyhe 37s feel like at 10psi.
Mate the 39s look awesome, I cringe at the thought of the carnege on the up travel.
Im running 11psi boost at minute and am real happy with it, chopping it really took some weight of it.
Guts, mate spokr to Jamie Smith , He hasnt ruled out running it somewhere else but wont be easy. Iv been askd to drive this year, love dargle had some really good results there. You still talk to Rhyno?
Cheers boys.

Last couple of events there been real wet and tracks have been chewed up bad so the owners are pulling the pin on having 4bys on it.
We started using it for our Black rat challenge and the easter jamboree which was real wet.
Yeh re.Rhyno, not getting too much positive feedback.

Maiden voyage was a success. Gave it as hard a time as i could have in menai. Cvs intact and at no point did i feel like my gearing wasnt low enough. Tyres at 10psi were absolutely awesome.
