Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Its been talked about dozens of times, but to date there are no figures that i can find.

So far i know that:
1. Toyota LSD's are crap, they wear quickly
2. Fitted to the rear an LSD might last 20-30,000km before its pretty much just an ordinary open centre
3. If i fit one to the front it souldn't wear in my lifetime on a daily driver used only occasionally 4WDing.

What i need to know is:

What pre-load have people been setting them up for? Or is this just a matter of jam in the shims and see how it goes?

The ones I have seen have had an extra clutch put into em .. so effectively "jam the shims and see how it goes" style

Also should there be any differences in pre-load for LSDs set up for the front or rear?
