Polyair's

I fitted a set of Polyairs today I got from the US (truckspring.com). I got the part number straight from air lift, told them it was a HZJ105 w/ 2" lifted springs.
The bags have about 2" of clearance under them with the suspension at full droop. When sitting at normal ride height they are slightly compressed. If anyone else has fitted a set, should there be any clearance ever? I am concerned they are not long enough bags. There is a top spacer, but no bottom one supplied.
Thanx
Paul

I fitted AIR BAG MAN ones to mine. Mine are also slightly compressed when at ride height. Should be around 5-10psi when under normal driving all the time.

Yes they will have clearance at full travel. Given there nature they couldn't extend and contract as much as the spring without bulging out the side of the spring on compression.
Your fitment is normal

Sorry to high Jack, But.
Ive got Polyairs in the rear of my Disco. I need to fit new springs to the front to compensate for the Bull bar and winch (not fitted yet)
I'm thinking of a 30mm lift but only replacing the front springs and using the Polyairs to keep it all level.
Has any one done this and how was the handling after ?

Mate has this. Works fine. Polyair's don't seem to limit travel. Gives good balance between loaded and empty.

If you pumped the back of your car up 3 inches with the bags wouldn't the suspension be rock hard? Surely the rear coils would dislocate or be near to it like that?
I wouldn't have even thought it would be possible. When I looked into polyair bags for my Disco I was told that to use them with my 2 inch lift I would need two fit some rubber spacers to compensate.
With a 3 inch lift you would need new shocks and front springs so why stop short of replacing the rear springs?

Thats why Im only thinking of a 30mm lift, not a 3 inch.
The disco will mainly be used for touring, so I dont want a big lift.

I better get my eyes checked. I read that as 3inch
