Hi guys,
Don't mind the look of the KJ Cherokee. Any bad points/ things to look for when buying other than the normal things?
TIA
Stu

KJ not really a hard core 4x4
need to go to
www.ausjeepoffroad.com and ask in the KJ section
1 had one 3 years ago 3.7l and had no issues apart from the computer kept resetting itself.. Very solid and reliable vehicle

If you dont mind the lack of a SFA they are a pretty capable vehicle but need bash plates if used off road

As Krankie says - with good tyres and good driver skill, they are pretty good. Bashplates are essential, especially for the CRD odel that has the oil filter hanging down at the back of the motor.
We often find at MJOC driver training that a well driven KJ is very capable, as long as ou consider the wishbones etc.

Still looking. Have seen a nice looking 2003 Grand Cherokee Loredo for sale near home which I don't mind either. 4.7ltr with 100k on the clock ($25k). A few kms but what I've always been told is the more cylinders spread the load so greater mileage isn't such a concern?
Any inherent problems to look out for on these too?!!

I owned a 2001 Grand v8 Limited and loved it! Not too bad on fuel I ran PULP and got 11.5 to 12 lt/100km on the highway.
Again,a good service history is the go!
Also check out the CRD if there is one available near you.
