Cruiser & Lux Splines

Post by Highway-Star »

Hi

I'm toying around with the following:
http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/phpBB2/vi ... p?t=118813

Anyway, might be onto getting a 3B engine (not quite a 15B I know), and a matching H55f gearbox with transfer.

Current plan is to mate the Hilux gear driven transfer to the Cruiser 5 speed gearbox, that way we get the 3B engine, strong box, already aligned transfer, and the standard Hilux Diffs. I see on the Martin crawler site they have done a kit to fit the Hilux reduction box in between the Cruiser box and transfer, so to my mind it can be done!

Questions:
- H55f output: Spline count, shaft diamter, length, any detail please.
- Lux Transfer: Intake spline, shaft, detail etc.
- Anyone done this? If so any advice/info would be brilliant.
- Also, Hilux transfer should be strong enough, shouldn't it?

Any info advice appreciated,
Thanks.
Wheeling on completely wicked angles, without even looking stable.
