I will be running 15" so i have heard that one doesnt fit the other not sure which way round it is though.
Thanx in advance Damo

i think you need to ream out the center of the cruiser rims to fit the patrol the stud pattern are the same but not 100 series they are 5 stud

so if i was to get patrol rims will they fit and clear the breaks on the 80 series diff or is that why the landcruisers have more offset

Close... stud pattern is the same (6 x 6.5 PCD IIRC) however the centre hole is larger on patrols, thus toyota rims will need the centre hole enlarged.
Landcruiser rims run greater offset (Ryano or someone can confirm) so you get instant stability increase on your patrol (legally).

Iam just trying to keep the offset down as i have already gained 100mm on the diffs and when i was running my offsets on the rangy diffs they were just in the flares (well at the top anyway) so if the patrol has less than cruiser then i think they might be the way to go as easier alround.
Aslong as they dont fowl anything on rear diff.

If my mind don't le tme down .. the 80 series rear axle it's 60" wide ( or 58" anycase close to ) and the factory 80 series wheels backspacing are around 4.5

The offsets are the same on a GQ wagon and 80 series wagon with the 16inch wheels, they are a zero offset rim, if your 80 is 1994 or later, 15 inch rims will foul on the brake caliper and you will have to grind a bit of the caliper away. I think you will find that if you run 15s with zero offset that you will have no calipers left. I have -25 offset ( cruiser ute offset) on my wagon diff and had to grind about 10mm wide x 6mm deep off the edge of the caliper. If you run 16inch wheels you will have no problem, if you have earlier than 1994 diff, they run a different disk and caliper and you will have no problem

Forgot to mention, I am running a nissan front diff and 80 series rear. my wheels fit no problem once the caliper mod above was performed.

thanx guys all very helpful i think what i have is the ealier diff so i think there will be no dramas.
Paul is what you are saying that you run the same combo in a rover with the -25mm offset rims and they still sit alright in the guards?
Have you got glass flares or anything ?
What size tyre you running? I will be running probably a 15x10 rim so as to fit my 35x12.5x15 creepys on.
Thanx again Damo

Hi Paul ..
0 off set means no backspacing . ?
