Hey all
As i'm now geared and locked
I'm thinking it would be a good move to start keeping a set of spare axles.
how mush should i expect to pay or what is a reasonable price
Thanks Pep

In melbourne a pair of WT Front axles/cvs usually around $150.00. But apparently if you are just breaking cvs, then you can buy them separately and try and get the old one off without damaging the axle, you can end up keeping the axle shaft...I might try this as I have 3 broken cvs on axles at home at the moment!

IMHO rear axle strength doesn't become an issue until you run over 33" tyres and a locker.
I haven't seen a rear axle go with less than 35" tyres in Melbourne.

Thanks for the offer bigmic, but it's WT
Steve, thanks for that bit of info, thats make me feel better as i'm only
running 30's now, but am considering some 31's or 32" Mongrels in the (affordable) future

I'm sure it's possible to break an axle with a 32" tyre, but you would be driving pretty hard (i.e common sense would have told you to back off well before it broke.)
