Same thing happened to mine, auto elec found it was the headlight switch on the steering column, a short across one of the contacts. He cleaned it up and it has never happened again.

have u pulled the headlight out? i wasnt having issues with mine but when i removed the headlight and inner gaurd i discovered the wiring was back to copper, had rubbed on something. might be worth a look. it could be earthing itself on the body.

check continuity of wires and see if wires that arnt meant to be grounded are, and wires that are meant to be arnt.

doubt its gonna be a switching issue as this should affect both lights..
cheers, andrew

pull the stork out. take the little cover off the switching contacts (fiddly and need 2 small drivers to lever it)
then clean with contact cleaner and spray with 2-26
should be good for a few more years.

if not buy a new one or one from a n13 pulsar will fit
