Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hey guys, just a sorta urgent one, is a 2.8 thermastat the same as a 3.0 diesel hilux? Ive got one off a 5L to go into my 3L, it fits but unsore if its corrrect. Any help on wether they will work in a 2.8 will be appreciated. They are slightly different shape but still fits. Stuffs me, thanks in advance

nah i think they are more , didnt get much of a response so i just through it in anyway and wallah! it works. might be up for a water pump soon i think too. shit happens
