You will need power to the controller which then controls the lockoffs at the tank and converter, maybe be more for your specific vehicle but thats the basics.

i was just going to run the lockoffs off the fuel pump relay rather then using the control box, should work i hope

For safety and legality you will need to use a controller so that incase of an accident, once the engine stops the lockoffs lose power and close.

the fuel pump relay shuts off as soon as engine stops, hence also the lockoffs

Even though the controller is basicly a relay itself, you want power to the lpg lockoff when theres no power to the fuel pump ?

It is perfectly OK to wire the lock offs to the fuel pump wiring, all moden day efi vehicles shut the pump down if the engine stops just as the safety switch does. And with greater reliability!

I think there is some confusion here, I'm refering to straight LPG where you just replace the fuel pump with the lock offs, for duel fuel I would take a feed off the pump and run it to the duel fuel switch as the power that supplies the switch, then use the output from that switch to power a relay that cuts the injectors or alternativly feeds the lock offs. Vehicle wiring differs from make and model in regards as where to cut the injector circuit. I leave the pump always running as do most for a number of reasons like injector cooling and speed of change over.
