Does any one know what is involved in a injector pump rebuilt? Can you get a rebuild kit your self and do it ?
You see i like to learn how things work, And the only real way to learn is to pull things apart and back together hopefully saving a bit of money at the same time
Any help would be good if any one knows a thing or two about the above topic

Anything is possible to do if you have time, patience, the correct tools and workshop manual.

If you have an old pump by all means pull it apart. If you are trying to save money, pay someone to do it properly first time. There are a lot of special tools to do what you are asking to do. Without them you wont get the pump apart.

i have to agree, i had some problems with my old sd33 pump and to get them apart is a real pig of a job. Save urself some trouble and get a diesel monkey to do it for ya.

The cost of pumps are all done on a strip and quote basis. This is the easiest way I have found to price things rather than me give a price, then its found to be completely shagged and it goes over my original price.
