80 series steering problem

I have just got an 80 series with a 2 to 3 inch lift and it likes to track all over the road like it is following train tracks. The wheel bearings are good and the king pins don't have play. The tie rods and box seem fine as well. Could this be a caster problem or do i need adjustable panhards or both?

It sounds like a caster issue.

I agree.

I was told the same by a mechanic about mine. He was wrong
Id double check all this and also panhard bushes. IMO If you have large tyres, doesnt take much play in these to cause havoc.

2 inch lift, you can get away with factory castor. If you have 3 inch lift, then it will start to become noticable floaty and wander on the road, with that feeling of driving on train tracks. For a 3 inch lift, fitting 2 degree castor bushes should fix that problem.

And the answer was panhard bushes. Put new bushes in today and it drives sweet as pie. Thanks for the help.
