Am wanting to hardwire a permanent 12 volt lead in for my GPS from the dash down to the passenger seat footwell to get power off the power source for my UHF which is mounted under the glove box in the passenger side. Just wondering if it is easier to send the cable down through the A/C vents or between the windscreen and dash, or any other way which any one else has done. Some guidance would be great.

I ran min under the glove box. Then up the side of the dash and across the back of the top part of the dash under the dash mat. But the new car is going to have a dash pod and I am just going to get the hole saw out and put a big hole in there.

I've discovered the cable is too thick to get it down between the windscreen and the dash. I have taken the glove box out and there is easy access to the aircon vents. I might take the easy option and put a hole in that and feed it down through the air con and then just silicon the hole up around the cable when done!

why not run it thru the center and around?
