Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hey,
i have a friend with an 89 hilux 22r motor..
dash park brake light is staying on when handbrake is off while driving and also staying on when the keys are out
anyone had this problem before?? any ideas??

Checked the brake fluid level?

Also see if you can disconnect the wires from the handbrake switch and see if that kills the light.

you may find that your hand brake switch has dropped down so now when you let you hand brake off its not touching the switch to turn the light off. or you may have the problem i had which is i dropped a whole lot of screws in my console and i thorght i cleaned them all up but one was still in there and after a while or 4wding it bounced under my hand brake so it was sitting about 3mm higher than normal so it was not hitting the switch. hope this helps

Black gaffa or electrical tape over the light fixes this.
