Stroker kit for 1.3??????

My mate was talkin about a stroker kit for the Jimny 1.3 which takes it out to 1.5. Who distributes these and what are they worth, or is he talkin out his proverbial
I'm ask because I'm interested in the possibility of fitting one to a sierra 1.3........
Stroked to 1.5 with obligatory cam/ head/ breathing work would be a good and essentially INVISIBLE power up
Anyone heard/ had experience with 'em
Cheers

I am not sure if its the same thing .. but an animal known as the g15a motor exists (between the g13 and g16) ..
Have only read about it apparently Suziworks (I think) does them (the stroker kits .. not g15a's) .. Oh hell time for another beer

Isn't the baleno engine 1.5 ????

mmm, Ive heard of about 1400 cc.
Tis a mix of g13b and g13a bits , If you check the motors out some are 1324cc and some 1298cc, Im not sure they use the 1324 crank and an
60tho over on the pistons , could work it out but to lazy to figure out pie squared ect
Ive checked the possability of a 1600 crank in the1300 , but this is a
no go , just isn,t enough deck hieght on the 13 to make it work ,Piston skirt would have to be about an 1" 1/2 high to miss the throw on the 16 crank, motor would last about 5,000 ks
1500 sounds like a possability ,
The old type of stroking could work with this ,
You would need to find siutable con rods with a smaller big end diameter,
and a slightly shorter length, the scheme is to machine the crank journals off center towards the outer of its stroke ,down to the smaller journal size this affectivly increase the stroke, you need the shortnes in the rod to eleviate the piston running to high and creating to much compression , This is a simple way of explianing it its a lot more complicated then this sounds ,Cam timing ,balancing clearances ect ect ect . But ha I reckon there could be a market for ,a set up like this you think ?

http://www.suzisport.com/shop/ (performance - sierra)
This is a upgrade using the original 1.3 engine so there are no modifications , looks identical to the original fitment 1490cc WOW!
This engine will give your Sierra some much need torque as well as HP. Comes as short motor only!!
$2800 for a short motor, not too bad I spose. Considering it is "invisible" so you wouldn't need to/ bother to get it engineered
1.5, exhaust, extractors, quality air filter and a 3 angle valve job on the heads etc would make a good little package I reckon
Cost anywhere from 3-4k depending what you had to buy and whether you could get the head done on the cheap.
Any ideas how it might compare to other engine swaps, say vit 1.6 carby

Sure it could be done one way or the other but at the end of the day I dont think the increase in performance would justify the time and expense. It's all about bang for buck.

Balenos came in a 1.6 and a 1.8, but the most common varient is a 1.6
Suzisport in Seven Hills said that they can do a 1.5 from a Baleno, and it bolts straight in, but I am not sure if it is a locally sold Baleno that the motor is out of as I have not seen one with a 1.5 before.

As Damo said
Aren’t Vitra 1600 EFI's only around the $2500 mark + Adapter
I would have thought you'd have a bit more power and some extra bling to go along with it!
