Does anyone know where you can get checkerplate rear quater guards from?seen them on a few pics lately and i rekon they would help hide some batle scars

Stuff Stuckerplate, where can you get smooth ones? Checkerplate is like velcro for rocks. It grabs like crazy when your resting on it.

IMHO just make some- much cheaper.

i was thinking of making up a simular thing but as steve said probable more of a smother material, not that im sliding off my rear pannels that often, but just in case

I thought I would need corner protection on my lwb as there is more over hang but to date I out drive the cruisers and patrols in my club and have yet to get even a scratch on my rear corners.
Sure they look good but do you really need them?

im for making your own.

ive got a sheet of plate here and plan on making mine real soon.

just get a card template and trace onto metal. grab the jigsaw and cut away.

that said. checker plate isnt the cheapest thing floating around. i got mine for free

also hides my nasty rust patches

thinking of steel plate that i will weld onto the corner to strengthen it up as hinges have torn out of body a bit

You must drive with some real skirts then.
My corners no longer resemble the arse of a suzuki, i think I will try make some of these for my sierra, as my cage now surrounds the corners anyway, may aswell cover the dints.

I am only jealous cos you have nice panels.

A mate of mine purchased some BBM ones and they were s**t. They didnt fit properly and had some rediculous looking welds on them, IMHO they were not worth the money. He thought the same aswell.

Would be easier and cheaper to make your own...

Not dissing anyones product but the ones Ive seen are shiny chrome thin stuff looks more like they are for bling factor.
Is it to protect the bottom end, maybe a wrap around rear bar?
