Anyone put a rear LSD into the front of a GQ? If so any problems/anything I should know prior to looking for a LSD?

Yeah but that is the price of a decent 'in your centre' style auto locker. And no they dont f#ck up your steering.

hey dano get yourself a rear diff centre out of a MQ patrol and it bolts straight in just turn it upside down for the high pinion just check your pinion ratio same spline count just make sure you dont buy the H260 diff (BIG DIFF) dont pay anymore than $200

It has to be a v6 navara rear h233b or something like that.
And I think the splines have to be the same.
The poxy desiel got the weaker c200 in the rear.
And I wont mention the r180a weak as front!!

check out thread below has the arb locker listing has all the details.

Email WWW.rocky-road.com and request a price on a 3210-LR Lock-Right.
Use WWW.XE.com to convert it to your AUS dollar.
The Aussie dollar is excellent at the moment.
You will also notice that the postage is not that expensive and you recieve the locker within ten working days.
( I recieved mine in six ).

I could not justify the cost of an Air Locker as good as they are, as it would not get a lot of use and these lockers at a third of the price I could not pass up.
By the way it works great!
Any thing you need to know give us ahoy.

they are the same and easy you just unbold the rear MQ diff and turn it upside down and put it in the front same spline count the whole lot + you get LSD front

To put a LSD in the front you would need to up the preload a resonable amount for it to be worthwile.
With the auto locker the more you put the boot in, the less you can steer.
If you back of to a light pedal it steers fine.
I doubt you would get the on/off effect with the LSD.
It would be heavy regardless, due to the constant preload I would presume.

i thought i heard somewhere that you need to machine them to get the crown wheel to fit

parthy, nivara, terranno all bolts straight up, mq/mk needs bolt holes machined out on PCD and opened out from 10mm to 12mm

I have Lsd's front and rear in my 60 series and they work really well. The only time you really notice the front one is going up steep rocky hills, the steering pulls left then right then left, dependingwhich wheel has most traction. On tight grippy turns the steering will be a little tight for a second or so untill the lsd lets go and allows normal diff action. I love the lsd's at both ends. It gives locker traction (well allmost) while all the wheels are on the ground. And is easy on the drivetrain.
