Recently picked up a 1990 factory turbo GXL, was under it on the weekend and noticed where the exhaust runs up between the body and chassis where the rear upper arms bolt to, is squashed to about half its normal size.
Is this from the factory or is a bodge job ? How and where would a 3 inch be routed ? under this rail?
Thanks
Adam

I am not sure if they are all like it or not, but I have seen a few like that.
I put 3" on mine following the same route, no problems, and it goes much much better :-)

they come like that from factory and are an absolute bitch to remove.
Advise you to cut it when removing or get ready for some hammering to get it over chassis.
I just fitted up extractors and 2.5" and follows same lines and mounts, not a problem.
slid over chassis no worries, i imagine 3" would be the same.

you can squeeze more through there, but they seem to go alright despite the flow restriction
