I just paid $350 a tyre for 305/70/16s in the same tyre. I know the 33 x 12.5 x 15 was about $50 cheaper per tyre. $1,100 for five in a 35 if they ae new souds like a a very good deal.
I'm pretty happy with them, they are a lot quieter than the BFG Muddies I had before on the road. Haven't been offroad in them yet but haven't seen a bad report on them.

35 MTZ's retail for $338.00 on the list.....that would (usually) include fitting and balancing.
So if you have-to pay for fitting, add extra $$$.....................but this sounds like a good deal.....go for it..!!

im considering them for my next set really soon.
how bad are the sidewalls really?
wear rate is a major concern for me too considering the way i treat the tires (burnouts
) and the amount of Ks i do on them.

I bought my set over Cooper STTs and also BFG Mud Terrains. I have spoken to a number of people regarding the Mickey's and everyone who has them has absolutely raved about them. Aparently they are also made by Coopers now, which is why they share the same 8-10ply side wall technology.
A mate of mine got a new set for evaluation purpose and took them on a 13,500 km trip from Melbourne to the Kimberley and return and gave them a hard time for the purpose, and did the Gunnbarrel Hwy on 33lbs at 100 kms p/hr and they came back to Melb with no cuts abbrasions or anything. I was seriously impressed with the way performed and saw the tyres at the end of the trip, whch is why I bought them. I am about to embark on a 3500 km trip from Melb to Fliders Ranges, Strezlecki Track and Cameron's Corner back to Melbourne. If you can hangout till November I will let you know how they went on that trip too before you make your purchase.

Ideally I would get two sets, but living in an apartment I just haven't got the space for two sets. I was looking at claws aswell before I got mine, but decided on the MTZs for a couple fo reasons, one being better mileage and claws are a bias tread so you either have to carry two spares (one each bias) or have the gear on hand to change the tread direction on your spare if you get a flat.
I also do a few longer trips to the outback etc and I would cry if I only got 25,000 - 30,000 after spending over $2,000 on rubber. I had a set of BFG Mud Terrains before the MTZs and they were an excellent tyre also never had any issues with them. A few of my mates run STTs and they rave about them also.
The biggest difference b/w your "cheaper tyre" IE Maxis etc is that they are made in Asia whereas the Coopers and Mickey Ts are made in America hence you get what you pay for.

I got 305/70/16s on black 16 x 8 sunnies. It looks $hit hot on the GQ fills the guards out nicely. I went for the 16s over the 15s purely for the better load rating and 16s are more versatile if I change trucks.

I paid $90 each for the rims and $350 per tyre. I think list price is about $360 for the 305/70/16 and about $305 for the 33x12.5x15. So its about $40-$50 difference per tyre for the 16s. I could have got 15" rims for about $60 I think.
I got mine from Guests 4wd in Fairfield, and they were the cheapest I could find anywhere, but they told me after I got them that they didn't make any money on them at all. I got a good deal because they did my suspension, dual batteries and a heap of other stuff plus I get my truck serviced there.

as per previous pages on thes my 305 70 16s or whatever they are on the patrol have got a bee's dick off 60 000 kms and still trudging should hit 80 with rears then 90 on fronts or not far from which is very impressive.......
a good all rounder......
ryano the man a fourby's put one of the early pairs on mine at a fair price and have been rapped with them having tried allot of others in all conditions...
