unless it's a late model tdi v6 out of a merc or disco.
it's not worth the bother especialy with the comodore v6. even better off with the 3f motor.

most people will tell u to go 5l or up when changine motors in a 80 sereis.

not designed for that sort of weight or use. the only benefit of a V6 is when there's packaging concerns. considering Big blocks, and big straight 6';s fit in there now, what's the point?

throw in a 1FzFe and be done with it.

I understand why a v6 appeals...heaps of low torque, coilpack crank ignition for runing under water, plenty of prts available cheap, and economical....however... running gas on a larger v8 would be more robust, adapters are readily availble, maybe a 5.7 efi has coilpacks too...
and more of everything :)

LOW DOWN TORQUE?????

the ecotech's peak is around 3600rpm... and even then it's about as much as a stock 2f has at 1800rpm...

i love the way most holden fans have no idea about low down torque
