Just interested in how do you guys fill your diffs up with diff oil? Do you use a pump? Syphon? A fairy wand?
Thanks.

goi and get the pump through ones 1 ltr bottle with a push down pump on top, they are $20-25 from different places.
Worth having a couple if you don't want oils mixing.
other way is buy a 1ltr fill up bottle with the pull out spout and re-fill that up when needed.

For diff oil I use my old mans 20litre drum of 85/140 with a drum pump
For my transfer I use 80/90 and use one of those big syringe style jobbies.
I have to say the propper 20 litre drum pump is the way to go but on a budget the syringe does the job.

Would a gravity fed hose do the job? as I have to do this myself soon.
Or is it not that simple?

I bought a little hand pump from an auto store here in Adelaide, screws into the neck of all your usual oil containers (castrol, shell bottles etc.. up to 4L) and has a hose off to your diff... even a clever little clip to hold the end of the hose in the filler point!
I think they're only about $10, still strenuous pumping a few litres in while your lying under the truck, but one of the better manual ways to do it with little fuss / mess.
