60 series transfer case ????

i need 2 replace my transfer as it jumps outer 4wd low under load.
my question is will a 4 speed transfer (81) bolt up to my 5 speed(83)???
or for that matter a 94 trooppy transfer as i have access 2 both.
by the way it is a 2h deisel.

if it was a split case (pretty sure it should be if it's an 81) then the 83 case should work.
why not use the whole gearbox?
and do you have a body lift? that can be why they jump out sometimes.

this could be a efect of broken motor or tranny mount .. anycase if nor and the issue it's the " secure ball " ( I'm not sure the english name ) in the t-case pretty easy to solve ..

No they will not, the 4 speed transfer is different to the 5 speed.
The 4 speed input shaft is not supported where it enters the transfer because there is a bearing on the back of the 4 speed gearbox, the 5 speed transfer has a bearing to support the input shaft because the box does not.
If you put the 4 speed transfer onto a 5 speed box, you end up with no bearing in th box + no bearing in the transfer = nothing to support the gears in the transfer, WILL NOT WORK
I have just disassembled both of the transfers mentioned, in order to do away with the vacuum selector and tried to fit the 4 speed transfer to my gearbox, it wont work

what year 4 speed? there were a couple of different transfers behind the 4 speeds
