Couple of issues with my NH Pajero

H everyone,
Following on from my 4x4 problem, I have a couple of other things and would love some input / advice regarding the issues.
1. The steering seems to have a bit of freeplay in it. From my research on the forums, there will always be a bit of freeplay, but it can be adjusted to minimise the freeplay?
2. The body has some creaks and moans, most likely from the suspension. Before I start to look at replacing all the bushes etc, are there some main ones I should be doing first? It has approx 230,000km on it so most things will be starting to wear out I guess.
3. Are lash adjusters in the V6 adjustable, or do they need to be replaced once they start to tick a bit louder? I'll try some different oil in it to see if ti quietens it up a bit.
