Dropping the gearbox crossmember

My GQ SWB has a 5" lift and 2" body lift with 35"MTR's. I don't get alot of noise from the running gear only at one point at 80kph. Other than that it runs and drives like a dream. My question is do I need to drop the gearbox crossmember to reduce the amount of stress on the tail shaft?

i'm guessin you have adjustable trailing arms? obviously the lesser the angle of the tail shaft the better esspecialy on a shorty so i would recremend it also what i've done to vehicles in the past is to get a high pinion diff to fit to the rear takes a huge amount out of the angle

if you do want to drop the gearbox member (i did when i had a 4 inch lift in my shorty) let me know i have some spacers laying around here which you can have for a carton
