Trying to figure out where a crankcase breather goes

Hello
I'm in the process of reassembling my rocky F75. The original motor is dead and gone so i'm using a gear drive DL motor I pulled out of a Delta truck, only problem is the breather pipe from the side plate goes into a tube which runs down the motor and points at the ground. I'm concerned about the pipe allowing water, mud etc into the lifters and engine, and i'm assuming the rocky uses a different setup. I don't have access to a rocky DL motor to compare with, so i'm hoping someone on here can tell me how theirs is set up and where I should plumb it to?
See pic below for how the motor is currently set up.
Thanks

That is correct, it just points down to the ground. Dont worry, it doesnt suck water or anything. I have had mine up to bonnet depth in water, and it still runs as good as new.

Thats how the DL motors are in rockys too.
Not sure what state your in but might have troubles at rego time depends how strict on emission laws they are .
Do the rocker cover and side covers off the old DG motor fit.

In the rocky there should be a splash guard just below where the pipe comes out anyway. Mines got quite a build up of sooty grease from that pipe

The oil cooler is the thing I would be checking out. Remove the fitting where the coolant return is, top right hand corner of your pic, and see if there is anything blocking it. I did a replacement motor one time, and the entire oil coolant lines were blocked solid with sediment. Even 24 hr immersion of the oil cooler in acid didnt clean it out. It was thrown in favor of an external oil cooler.

I replaced all the rubber hoses earlier today. I might remove one and see if I can blow through it OK.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback on that pipe, if everyone else's DL is like that too then I might as well leave it. One thing less to fix/modify :D

Motor is almost ready to go in, I should hopefully have it in and running some time during the week.
